★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I cannot say enough about how positive our experience was with Brian’s Professional Flooring. From my very first interaction with Jesse, who found me a beautiful hardwood option at an excellent price, it has been A+ customer service. Jesse quickly scheduled a visit to our house to measure and discuss options, promptly got us a quote, ordered materials immediately on our deposit, and followed up on custom vents. He assigned the installation job to husband and wife team Marcos and Junie, who were like poetry in motion, they worked so well together. The moving of furniture (and re-positioning of furniture once the floor was done) was amazing to see. The floor is gorgeous and I am so happy we entrusted the project to Brian’s and specifically Jesse (and Marcos).
September 27 · Anne SpeckFrom start to finish Jesse the salesman has been accommodating. We wanted a special order floor, he was able to get at a fair price and exactly what we wanted. Marcus his installer did an amazing job though ran into a slight problem, our home is over 100 years old so to be expected, Jesse was able resolve it quickly and to our satisfaction. I would recommend Brian’s flooring.
June 20 · Vicki OsbornUPDATE 2:Since my original post, several people came out to look at the floor and door. They took measurements and replaced the door, trying to color match (pictures included). They also fixed the major separation in the tiles. Thank you for the rapid response and fix!UPDATE:Within 12 hours of posting my original review, I was contacted about my post with an acknowledgement that the work was poorly done and a pledge to make it right. It was refreshing. It took me over a year to notice many of the defects (other than the door), and I never complained or reported it to the owner. This was the first he heard of it from me. My previous complaints were all to the installers (that I was told are no longer with the company) while they were doing the job -- never to the owner or management. The fact that he found my contact information from a job 3 years ago so quickly tells me I was wrong in assuming I had long since passed my window to contact the owner.I'll update my review again after the rest of this plays out, but I'm optimistic and currently impressed.ORIGINAL REVIEW:The workmanship was very poor on the whole. We complained about one part of the flooring that was terrible and they fixed it. But when they needed to shorten the door they couldn't be bothered to make it straight. We also noticed really poor tile laying after they left. I added pictures of what I'm talking about.Floors (and door) are worse than before they did it. But it cost us about $7K. Never going back.
July 25 · Jason SwailsJesse is wonderful to work with. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and then was able to show us a product that we love. They prices were reasonable. They were quick to deliver and install. The installers are a husband and wife team who did a great job.Sally is new in the showroom. She is great with color! We highly recommend Brian’s!
December 17 · Jill KnerrNow that the final transition strip is in I am going to write this review. First things first, I am happy with the floor itself and the professionalism and skill of the installer. Everything else was a major headache.Jesse "The manager" was difficult to work with. Initially I came into the store and there was a Sales Woman who was very nice but, knew nothing, she was holding down the fort while Jesse was out. I provided her with a layout and exact dimensions of my kitchen. She could give me almost no information on the types of flooring or exact pricing. I, at least, walked away with an ideas and some pictures. Jesse reached out over the phone later that day and I asked for 2 separate quotes, one for vinyl sheet floor and another for vinyl tile to compare pricing. I sent him an email with a picture of my kitchen and all the specs I wanted for the flooring. We went back and forth via email several times, I had questions regarding tile size, grout color, tile layout and it took him a while to figure out that I wanted 2 separate quotes. He did eventually provide both. I made my final decisions and I drew up a more professional layout of the kitchen in CAD with notes for all aspects of the flooring and pattern. We got stuck on the fact that they NEEDED to send someone out to my house to take measurements, even though I had given them a layout. Jesse said he would come out after I got home from work but then cancelled at the last minute. He then insisted that his installer come out the next day. At this point I was exasperated because I had given them all the details to provide me with an updated final quote. Jesse then insisted that I come back into the store so we could finalize details which I had already given him because he "doesn't like email". So I left work early and came in, he was then short with me when I arrived and when I asked him to put all the details in the quote. I had to dictate to him line for line what to put in the quote. He also checked and confirmed the flooring I wanted was available and I placed a 65% deposit. The next day he changed the wording in the invoice that I had already paid for, that upset me because at that point you should not update a paid for contract. The next week he informed me that he could not get the flooring in the size we had agreed on and I had paid for and then proceeded to yell at me over the phone that its "not his fault" and "he can't control the supplier". All he wanted to do was argue, take no blame, and not make it right. He followed up with several curt emails. I decided on another option and asked for an updated invoice, he never sent it. Finally once again I had to update the grout color as well because Jesse thought it was still available and was not. Moving on from that, scheduling the work and install was also very smooth. Finally it came to the last transition strip to my existing hardwood floor. I did not want a vinyl transition I wanted a wooden one and this was agreed to in the contract. The installer was supposed to get it that day but had to order it, I had agreed in the contract to pay for any materials and assumed the install was covered under the original install cost. I paid the installer directly that day for the materials. The installer then came back several weeks later fitted and installed the transition. He asked for $100 because he had to come out again, I denied him because I thought it should be paid under the original installation cost. Jesse told me he ended up paying the installer for his time when he came back out.Overall, I am quite happy with the floor itself, the installation, and the professionalism of the installer. Jesse was very difficult to work with, if not belligerent, and had trouble communicating at every stage of the process. I acknowledge that I was not always the most level headed, but I was frustrated as I was always clear in my communication and there were several unnecessary steps.
