★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had them do wood floors in my parents house twice. Both times they did a great job at a good price. Second time we needed a fast turnaround since we had to replace due to a flood. The owner came over, took measurements and brought samples to the house. He then came back a second time to remeasure and find a way to bring the price down to meet the insurance company’s estimate - even though we were replacing with more expensive floor than we previously had. He and his team were very polite and patient with my mom and our situation. I know some folks have had negative reviews here - but I’ve worked with a lot do these types of companies and this team was better than most. Sounds like most of the negative reviews are related to carpeting. I’ll say I’ve never had a company do a great job on carpeting. 1. Carpet these days is made like crap - which is out of their control 2. Most people end up carpeting over existing wood floors which are almost always warped or damaged and/or they rip out the wood and have really bad subfloor - again - out of the control of the contractor. If you’re looking for wood floors - I can highly recommend Dr Pepper. And if doing carpet - make sure your floors are properly prepped and ask what you can do to ensure quality install. Don’t cheap out on the material.
August 13 · Adam StaffaNOT RECOMMENDED. We purchased a carpet for the master bedroom and another for a second bedroom. After about 18 months, the quality of the carpet was deteriorated and we had to replace both rooms. The company offered a $500 deduction if we purchased 2 additional carpets, and accepted their offer. After another 18 months the carpets again deteriorated. Very poor quality. The owner claimed to have contacted the carpet manufacture to see if they would offer a discount. They didn't. However the owner again offered a $500 deduction if we replaced both. After we turned him down saying we would let everyone in our development (GREENBRIAR WOODLANDS, TOMS RIVER) about the poor quality, the owner accused us of being a BULLY!.Very poor quality. Very poor followup. And very unprofessional.8/27/24 we have read your response and noted the falsehoods mentioned.1- No one from your business came the following day.2- You were supposed to stain the molding to match the flooring, (which we also bought from you), which was never done.3- you were informed that the wood flooring was lifting and you said “will address another day”4- You never offered to “stretch the carpet and clean it”. Telling fibs is not professional.5- what would have stretching the carpet have done since the quality of the carpets were a very poor quality. We purchased and replaced the carpets twice, and the 2nd carpet was a very poor and cheap quality.6- we will continue to let consumers know especially since you have lied in your response.
August 30 · Elens KidsOur floors through the house came out beautiful. The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Their installers were amazing. They were professional, completed the job ahead of schedule & they cleaned everything up before they left. Would highly recommend Dr. Peppers Flooring on Mule Rd in Toms River. Thank you again!
January 10 · Patti ChamI had bedroom carpet and a runner for my stairs installed by Dr. Pepper’s. Although I am happy with how the bedroom carpet turned out, I am not happy with my runner or customer service. The runner took 15 weeks upon downpayment - I had called a few times (3 of which no one returned my phone call) to ask for any updates when it would arrive, but they never had an answer because an outside vendor binds the material. Once the installers came, my boyfriend told them how I preferred to have the runner installed (just under the top step lip and just under the bottom step lip so it wouldn’t cover the front facing portion of the very bottom step). My boyfriend said the installer rudely responded that he knows how to do his job, but then did not install how we requested (which when someone came to the home for a quote, told us we could provide this preference). As you can see from the pictures, they brought the carpet down to the floor which I did not want, and didn’t bring the carpet up all the way to the top step lip. They also left all their markings visible on every step for me to have to clean off on my own. There was an issue with billing as well (which is also frustrating because I was never provided an invoice before or during either of the jobs and when I asked the installer for a copy after the last job, he would not give it to me so owner said he will mail one), but the billing issue has now been addressed and resolved. My boyfriend and I would not recommend this company.
June 27 · Alicia SWe had carpet installed in our master bedroom. Dr. Pepper's Flooring was terrific during the whole process. They came out quickly to give us a quote and even brought samples of carpet we were looking for. Then when we were ready to book they immediately ordered our carpet and installed it as soon as it came in. The installers were both professional and personable. The quality and service of this small business cannot be beat. If we ever need any other flooring we will be calling them. We highly recommend then for all your flooring needs!
