Rarely does it happen that reality exceeds hopes or expectations but that was exactly our happy experience when we contracted Tony's Flooring in Hamburg to install flooring and carpeting throughout our home. We explored, but ultimately rejected, the big boxes in favor of working with Tony -- a small business owner and a true professional with an outsized work ethic. He believes that personal integrity runs concurrent with delivering excellent work at fair prices. Lucky for us, Tony doubled as our GC scheduling a painter and plummer to do additional work. Salesperson and office manager Cathy was always available to answer our questions. Tony's Flooring has earned our 5-star rating and we'll award them any future business we may have.

Update 2022:Had the Tony and his team back to do about 2,200 ft^2 of carpet throughout the house. Once again, great job and great communication. Completed on time and with minimal disruption. (No small feat given the size of the job.)Skip the big box stores, go see Cathy in the showroom. You'll get helpful advice on materials, colors, and will help you meet a budget.Summer 2020:Tony's Flooring did a great job installing about 340 ft^2 of new oak hardwood flooring to match an existing section of the house. After refinishing the old as well, both floor sections look beautiful and remarkably uniform.Everything from the initial consultation to scheduling, installation, and finishing was professional, timely and very well done. Excellent craftsmanship all the way around.The schedule was set well in advance, and the guys stuck to that commitment, which my family and I appreciated greatly. If I could give zero stars I would. We had our floors redone about 8 months ago. Right away we noticed that something was wrong. If water spilled on them it round stain the wood in certain places. . Even if it was immediately wiped up. Also, we noticed uneven tone in the color. Last but not least part of the floor actually started coming up. Our floors are extremely high end and high quality. This was first time we had them refinished. It was a complete disaster. This company ruined our floors and we now have to have them redone again because they sre so bad. We had a flooring expert come to look at them and they said that floors were not sealed properly and they thought we did them ourselves. Apparently not enoug costs of finish. That is 30K we will never get back. Whenwe complained a few months after they were done they said we were hard in our floors. My husband and I have no kids,and 2 small dogs. How hard can we be ion the floors. They lasted 10 years before we had to refinish and honestly they looked better before we redid them.
