★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We moved into a "new to us" house and needed to modernize it for a few years, before doing major renovations. I was Leary to spend money on a cheap, sheet vinyl floor in the kitchen, but we wanted change. The owner was honest on the phone about what he had, for the money we wanted to spend and that it wouldn't be fancy. The salesman came (retired P.O.) and was very down to earth and honest too. All said and done, we are happy with the decision and the floor is holding up pretty well. I think It's all about having realistic expectations-I'll definitely call them again, for a similar project.
June 14 · Craig McCaslinExperience with the sales dept. was fine, Install crew was great, but the experience setting up install day and paying the remaining balance was a nightmare. I was told I would be the first install of the day but when I asked them to please do my install later that morning, they refused because I was their western-most client for that day. I accommodated them by having a friend meet the installers the morning of, and when it came time to pay the remainder of the bill, I had asked for them to please give me an hour to come in in person and pay the rest of my balance. They refused, but their card reading machine was "down at the time", so it became a sort of game of chicken over the phone that ended with them running my card on a "Back up reader" because they could not wait an hour to accommodate a customer who went out of his way to accommodate them. Four hours later, they ran my card AGAIN, saying their main system was back on line and that the first charge would be refunded within 24-48 hours. Seriously??? This whole headache could have been avoided had they just allowed me to come in in-person like I had requested, but instead they rushed to charge me once, required me to pay the 4% Credit Card Fee because they couldn't accommodate my request to pay the remainder in person, only to double charge me hours after I could have come in and settled the balance to begin with. As someone who went out of my way to seek out and use a local / family run business as well as accommodate them by pre-clearing the rooms receiving carpeting and make myself available for the install on less than 10-hours notice my expectations for treatment were a little higher. An odd experience, indeed.
May 20 · Drew MI highly will recommend Danny (salesman)at Leviton Carpet Depot to my friends & family. Danny is knowledgeable, efficient and polite and treat you like family. Also, he will exceed your expectations in giving you outstanding customer service.
September 09 · Joseph BilelloHad vinyl flooring installed and the tongues keep breaking, along the edges. I had the installer come out every other month to fix them. I saw him putting shims under the vinyl and I asked why he said my floor was not flat. I told him that should have been stated to me before hand. I would have never put down a vinyl floor on an uneven subfloor. He took it up and I had a contractor come in and lay self leveling to even my entire floor. The installer comes back and laid down the floor again (some pieces were bad from when he ripped them up but he still laid them down). The floor is still breaking. I asked two different contractors who lay vinyl flooring to come look at my floor and they both said it was installed improperly. I have statements from both contractors. I sent the statements over to carpet depot and have yet (over a week and half now) to hear from Larry the head of carpet depot. I have expressed my concerns to Larry before about John the installer. Saying in the beginning I did not feel he was doing a good job. Always took forever to get back to me . On the phone with other customers while trying to do my floor. John is the same installer that other people on here have complained about. If you used carpet depot do not get John to install your vinyl flooring. I spent thousands on this floor and it has only lasted 3 years (not even if you count all the times that John has had to come out and fix it).
April 18 · kim gardnerAVOID AT ALL COST. Dealt with the Levittown and Oceanside location and this was a complete mess. Customer service and management was a joke. Their best solution to all of our problems was to cancel the order. Shows the lack of quality and standards this company has.
