Elias Wilf Corporation Introduce
For decades, Maryland’s professional builders, contractors, and independent flooring retailers have relied on the Elias Wilf Corporation, a foundational name in the floor covering industry. Operating from its headquarters in Owings Mills, this organization is not a typical retail home goods store designed for walk-in homeowners. Instead, it is a highly specialized, fourth-generation family-owned wholesale distributor and supplier of virtually every type of floor covering, from luxurious hardwoods to modern resilient and laminate options. Since its founding in 1915, Elias Wilf has grown to be a leader, serving the entire Mid-Atlantic region, which stretches from New York down to North Carolina, with an impressive inventory exceeding 15,000 SKUs.
The company's primary function is to serve as the critical link between world-class flooring manufacturers and the local, independent retail businesses and commercial contractors right here in Maryland. They carry high-quality, branded products—lines often not available at big-box chain stores—ensuring that local professionals have access to superior materials for both residential renovations and large commercial projects. This business model allows them to focus intensely on logistics, distribution efficiency, and deep product expertise, which they then pass on to the dedicated local flooring stores you trust for installation and sales.
Elias Wilf prides itself on a business philosophy built on trust, long-term partnerships, and unparalleled service, which is a commitment extending over a century. While their dealings are primarily business-to-business (B2B), the quality of Maryland homes and commercial properties is directly influenced by the extensive and reliable product range they distribute. They are specialists in hard surface materials, including hardwood and laminate, as well as being a core supplier of carpet products and installation sundries, making them an indispensable resource for the construction and home improvement industries across the Baltimore metropolitan area and beyond.
However, as a wholesale distribution center, it is important for Maryland residents to note that a visit to the Owings Mills facility is not for casual shopping. It is a professional warehouse environment that focuses on rapid movement of inventory to their network of dealers, requiring appointments for any necessary onsite interactions. This specialized structure supports their core mission: to provide their retail partners with an exceptionally high degree of order accuracy and service speed, ensuring local flooring projects are completed efficiently.
The Elias Wilf Corporation headquarters and distribution center is located in the commercial district of Owings Mills, Maryland. The specific address is 10234 S Dolfield Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117, USA. This location is ideally situated to manage their extensive logistics network, allowing for efficient distribution across their entire service territory, including key Maryland markets like Baltimore, Annapolis, and Frederick.
As a key distribution hub, the facility is equipped to handle the logistical demands of a high-volume flooring supplier, including the movement of large quantities of flooring materials. Accessibility for their business partners is carefully considered:
- Wheelchair Accessible Entrance: The building is designed with easy entry for all visitors who require it.
- Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot: Dedicated parking is available for accessible access to the facility.
- Commercial Vehicle Access: The location accommodates large delivery trucks, although it has been noted by professionals that navigating a large truck may require careful maneuvering within the area to load and unload materials.
- Appointment Required: Due to the nature of the business—a wholesale warehouse and distribution center, not a retail showroom—all visits for business must be scheduled in advance. This policy ensures focused attention and adherence to safety and efficiency protocols within an operational logistics environment.
This central Maryland location supports the vast network of independent flooring retailers, positioning Elias Wilf as a critical infrastructure piece for home improvement throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Elias Wilf is fundamentally a service-driven distribution company, providing comprehensive support to its professional client base—the flooring retailers and contractors—in Maryland and surrounding states. The key services they offer include:
- Product Distribution: Supplying a vast inventory of over 15,000 SKUs, including hardwood, resilient (LVT, WPC, SPC), laminate, carpet, and sundries.
- Delivery: Utilizing a professional fleet and sophisticated GPS tracking to ensure rapid and highly accurate delivery of flooring products to their dealer network.
- Wholesale Supply: Serving as the exclusive distributor for numerous top-tier, award-winning, and specialty flooring brands in the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining substantial, ready-to-ship inventory levels to meet the demanding needs and quick turnaround times required by local contractors.
- Dealer Support and Training: Providing their retail partners with product knowledge, installation clinics, and manufacturer support to ensure the highest quality sales and installation services for Maryland homeowners.
- Customer Service Technology: Utilizing state-of-the-art technology to offer complete and accurate service, providing quick answers on order status and inventory availability.
As a distribution giant in the Maryland flooring industry, the Elias Wilf Corporation possesses several defining features that cement its leadership position:
- Centennial Legacy: Founded in 1915, this is a fourth-generation family-owned business with over a century of proven experience and commitment to the floor covering industry.
- Extensive Product Portfolio: They are authorized distributors for major, high-quality brands like Mannington, Lauzon, Somerset, and more, providing access to exclusive and innovative products, such as waterproof wood flooring.
- Focus on Professional Channel: Their products are intentionally kept out of big-box stores, ensuring that Maryland’s independent flooring retailers and specialized contractors maintain a competitive edge and can offer unique, high-value solutions.
- Commitment to Quality Control: They maintain an exceptionally high order accuracy rate, demonstrating dedication to flawless execution in their logistics and delivery operations.
- Regional Reach: While headquartered in Maryland, their distribution territory covers the entire Mid-Atlantic, signifying a scale of operations that benefits local retailers through bulk purchasing power and diverse inventory.
- Specialized Expertise: The staff, including the sales team, is highly experienced and thoroughly trained in all product lines, providing a level of knowledge and support that surpasses that of generalist home goods retailers.

They supply the premier products and seamless logistics that allow local businesses to thrive and deliver exceptional results to homeowners. The commitment of this wholesale company is to its vast network of dealers, and that network is ultimately what guarantees quality and professional support to the end-user in Maryland.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The floors they supplied were supposed to be UV coated. After only two months of having these floors installed, the color changed drastically anywhere that we had furniture, items or throw rugs. This company will do nothing to help with a warranty claim. They want me to pay $1000 for an independent inspection rather than send someone from their company to come and evaluate it. They say this is not a warranty issue because color changes are not covered. However, I have seen floors that are over 30 years old that have not had the significant and drastic of a change. These floors were extremely expensive And I only had them for a very short time before they began changing color drastically anywhere I had any personal items. As you can see, we can’t even place our dog food bowls on the floor without severe discoloration. The company who I purchased the flooring from has been great & they reached out to this manufacturer relentlessly to help us and the manufacturer refuses to do anything to help. They will not do anything to advance my claim and I’ve also been told that it’s because I have had a previous issue with them so I do believe that this is retaliatory. I will be getting an independent flooring inspection but I think that common sense is a big factor here, and you can clearly see that the floors are not UV coated/resistant as advertised OR this batch of floors is not. I have the same flooring in my basement (Purchased at a separate time) and it has not done this. This leads me to believe that the specific batch of flooring does not contain UV coating or is defective. They want me to prove that somehow. How can you prove that other than looking at it? It is clear from the pictures and from the amount of time in which this happened that this is not normal and should not be happening.
April 30 · Sherri VerdonIt's a bit tight for a large truck but they have moved stuff out and around and it's doable now.
April 20 · Delbert MeadowsVery Nice folks. Quick unloading! Dock is tight but new setup makes it a lot easier especially since they painted lines. Two trucks can fit out front if you get there before they open.
May 15 · Alex SegreeThese guys are great. We've had to push our territory rep sometimes repeatedly (because he's busy understandably) - which can be frustrating. But honestly in the end this company gets the retailer and takes care of them. The order desk has always been phenomenal (even though they're busy they're always friendly and helpful) - going above and beyond to do nationwide searches as needed in tough situations. Brian Campbell (sales) and Christina Murphy (order desk) have always been there for us when we need them. We've had some flawed product now and then but they've been pretty reliable at getting it sorted out.
August 16 · Bryan BairdVery tight back into dock for 53 ' trailer with sleeper only recieve from 600 am till noon if you show up later than noon expect it to be next morning if mon till thurs. Not sure about Sat. Staff was friendly and courteous and patient.
