★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The most horrible experience. I highly suggest going somewhere else. They aren’t trustworthy. $6,700 to install a runner for a center staircase that only has 12 stairs where they explained to us that they would be doing the stairs and our entire second floor hallway. Alas, they said that we never spoke about the hallway and that the $6,700 was just for the stairs after they installed the runner. They installed it and left extremely sharp staples poking out of carpet. Their installers didn’t clean a thing and left a mess.I never write reviews but this experience really got to me. Hopefully this warns others to stay away.
September 20 · Gerald UprightWe purchased a home that had well worn Stark carpets installed on 3 small stairways and landings by previous owner. So we went to Stark to have it replaced. I must say the selection and carpet knowledge was very, very good. I had a feeling this was going to be on the expensive side but frankly I drive great cars, live in a great house and usually expect more when I pay a reasonable premium.OK. For starters. They want to charge $125 to have the stairs measured because they could not find the measurements from the previous order (suspicious). There is also a charge for carpet delivery, and removal in addition to installation.Fast forward now that the carpets were installed by a local shop who installed exactly the same carpet (a Stark Brand) at literally half the final Stark quote. Like $3500 vs $7900. Definitely not a reasonable premium. Perhaps I should have been grateful that Stark offered us the "trade discount" to arrive at twice the cost. I did exchange this information with the Stark account manager over 30-40 emails, text and phone calls to justify the quality of Stark craftsman, warranty, reputation, etc....
December 12 · Lou DellHad a gorgeous runner installed from stark but the fabric on several treads has unraveled within the year. No response after 10+ attempts. Rug was not inexpensive and customer service has been poor.
January 02 · Dara EpsteinI wish I could give Stark negative stars. I ordered two custom rugs that were supposed to be delivered within 4-5 months, we are on month 8 and no one can tell me where the rugs are or when they will be delivered. They have been unapologetic, rude and unresponsive. I will never purchase anything here again.
November 20 · MLIf I could give less than 1 star I would. There is a large selection of carpet but that is all this showroom has going for it. The arrogance of management is quite astonishing. The professionalism questionable. A word of warning regarding the fitting of the carpet - I strongly recommend NOT organizing installation of carpet through Stark. They take a huge cut and do not give you all the required information. Far better to go directly to a carpet installer, better value and most likely better result. Spent over $50,000 on carpet from Stark, bitterly regretting it.
