At Home Introduce
For Connecticut residents seeking a one-stop destination for virtually all their home décor, furnishing, and seasonal needs, the "At Home" store in North Haven stands out as a massive, comprehensive option. Unlike small boutiques or niche furniture shops, At Home operates as a home goods superstore, offering a vast inventory categorized across seven main store types: Home goods store, Bedding store, Boutique, Furniture store, Outdoor furniture store, Picture frame shop, and Rug store. This breadth of products is designed to allow customers to fully outfit and accessorize every room of their home, from the living room and bedroom to the patio and garden, all within a single visit.
The core proposition of At Home is combining a huge selection with affordability, positioning it as the ideal place for Connecticut locals looking to undertake quick room refreshes, large-scale apartment furnishing projects, or seasonal décor swaps. The store is known for its constantly rotating inventory and vast departments, including everything from lamps and kitchenware to oversized wall art and holiday-specific items. As customers note, while the sheer volume of products can sometimes lead to a feeling of being "unorganized," this is often an expected part of the treasure-hunt experience that defines this genre of large-format retail.
The retail model is clearly focused on making home updates easy and accessible, whether a customer is moving into a new apartment, as one reviewer mentioned, or simply looking to find that perfect, hard-to-track-down decorative piece. However, prospective shoppers should be aware that, like any high-volume retailer, the quality of the customer service experience can sometimes be inconsistent, as highlighted in one of the detailed reviews.

At Home in North Haven is an excellent choice for Connecticut residents who are looking for maximum selection and value in home goods and furnishings. It is the ideal place to visit if you have just moved to the area and need multiple items across different categories (furniture, bath, bedding, kitchen) or if you are preparing for a major holiday like Christmas and need an immense variety of specific décor items (such as the beautiful Christmas trees mentioned in customer feedback).
The store's strength is its ability to provide a "treasure hunt" experience—a vast, inspiring collection where finding unique or hard-to-source pieces is highly probable. The convenient service options, including delivery and in-store pickup, further solidify its status as a practical choice for large or time-sensitive purchases. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Lovely staff, very helpful. Went above and beyond in their tracking down an item for me that wasn't out on the sale floor with the other colors of the same item. Store is a bit unorganized seeming, but that's a bit expected for the genre of store it is, haha. Went in not expecting much success in my adventures in trying to furnish a new apartment due to not having much luck in previously visited stores, but very pleasantly surprised as I managed to find and leave with multiple items I've been hoping to find.
October 06 · S JStephanie S. Spent 5 minutes gossiping with her coworker before finally acknowledging me standing infront of her waiting to ask a question. She only answered me because I said excuse me, I have a quick question to ask. She then proceeded to say “do you not see me talking.” I spoke in spanish, as did she. I just wanted to ask about the christmas trees. I then said no, but it seems like you were gossiping with the coworker. She was laughing and talking for over 5 minutes before I interrupted politely. She then said no she was talking about a customer (which makes this scenario even worse, because it shows how they dont respect customers). She got really rude and said since I’m already here what do I want with a very nasty attitude. I was alarmed and nervous because the way she said it was very threatening and physically made me begin to shake. I never have issues or report people but the behavior was unacceptable. I only had one simple question about a christmas tree I saw. This woman is a bad example of store manager and if this is the way she will treat the customers then I will no longer shop here. My daughter told me about a great experience she had finding bathroom decor at this store, and I was truly frightened by the horrible behavior that was given to me. She was also doing this infront of another staff member and there are cameras to corroborate what I am saying. Extremely disappointed because the christmas tree was beautiful but I took my money elsewhere and bought one down the street that same day. Please someone retrain this manager, just because you are the manager doesnt mean you get to act like you own the store and treat people rudely..
October 04 · Melanie RodriguezStephanie, the manager, was incredibly helpful and kind! I was buying the last available accent chair in the store and didn’t have a way to get it home. She offered delivery options, which made the process so much easier—and now I’m enjoying my beautiful new chair at home. The rest of the staff was also very sweet and welcoming. Great experience overall!
July 24 · Tiasha DownerWe've never seen a Home Goods type store this big & beautiful inside! The selection of products was mind boggling. We found everything we were looking for. The people working on the floor were extremely helpful & friendly! This is our new favorite store!
August 09 · Gene KoskiRather disappointing but it was what my wife and I expected. As a guy this store didn’t do much for me. There’s plenty of merchandise, it’s clean, and it’s laid out very well. I found much of the merchandise to be economical, almost too much so. Seems like a lot of it is made in Asia, and in particular China, why it’s relatively inexpensive. In my view if you are staging a home for sale you could pick up a piece or two to liven up your place to put on the market. Best category for me was some of their framed pics. Staff was friendly.
