For Pennsylvania residents, particularly those in the Main Line area, choosing Floor Coverings International Mainline is often about prioritizing a highly convenient, personalized shopping and installation experience. The central benefit is the Mobile Flooring Showroom. This feature eliminates the need to travel from store to store, bringing the decision-making process into the comfort and context of your own home, which is invaluable when coordinating colors and finishes.
The company's broad selection of materials, from classic wood and durable laminate to luxurious carpet and stylish tile, ensures that they can cater to virtually any aesthetic preference or budget. Their status as a specialized installer means they focus exclusively on flooring, cultivating expertise that is often greater than that found at general contractors or big-box stores. Furthermore, the commitment to a service guarantee and comprehensive warranties provides a significant layer of consumer protection and peace of mind.
However, potential customers should set realistic expectations regarding project timelines. While one customer noted a very quick installation (less than one day), another review indicated that delays in scheduling and material procurement can occur, extending the process by several weeks. This suggests that while the quality of the final install may be good—as indicated by positive feedback on the installers' work—customers undertaking a project should plan with a buffer. Open and continuous communication with the design consultant regarding material ordering and installation scheduling is key to ensuring the best possible outcome. Ultimately, the company offers a premium, full-service model that prioritizes product quality and a high-touch customer experience right at your doorstep.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Nice job done by flooring international. Took me a while to decide exactly what type of a floor to put down. Ordered a lot of samples. The floor was put down in less than one day at a very reasonable price. Very happy with the results I would recommend them in the future
August 16 · Steve PrattI usually don't leave reviews, but feel compelled to write one in this case to help others avoid the unfortunate experience I had after selecting Floor Coverings International, Mainline. Mike seems like a nice guy, but this company doesn't have their *stuff* together, and customers suffer.I don't know if the issue is they are taking on more work than they can handle or what, but my install was DELAYED BY TWO WEEKS past the contracted date. Then the real kicker - they install the carpet and RUN OUT OF MATERIAL before they're done. I gotta give it to the guys installing, the job they did wasn't bad, but if you don't have enough carpet you can't stretch it an extra flight of stairs no matter how hard you try. So they left and I was stuck with a half finished floor.Mike was sad; I feel for you Mike, but you really shouldn't eyeball this stuff. So now the job is out another two weeks before I even get a possible solution in the form of alternative carpet swatches (they had NO WAY TO GET the same material they ran out of). Then another week and a half later they finally come and rip out the botched carpet and install the alternative, luckily enough of it this time.Just to give you an idea of the timeline:August 9th - promised, CONTRACTED no-later-than date of installAugust 16th - actual first install attemptSeptember 2nd - Proposed solution via swatch selectionSeptember 13th - Final install that fixed the issueSo if you are scheduling the install, and DO decide to go with these guys, give it a buffer of about a month past when they say the will do the job, and make sure Mike brings a tape measure and uses it, the laser range finder thingy he used doesn't seem to be working for him.+2 Stars for the installers doing a pretty good job-3 Stars for the company botching everything else
September 26 · Andrey MavrichevGreat experience. They came out for an estimate and answered all questions I had. They were honest with me and did not try to upsell me. I wasn’t sure if my wood floors needed a full buff and refinish (or just carpet removal) and they were honest and told me to skip the more expensive work for now. Would recommend!
August 18 · Hannah BoroffQuick service, quality materials and installation. Very nice working with Michael Schaffer who made the process easy and pleasant.
May 22 · Aleksandra KuzykI wanted an eco-friendly kitchen floor that would pair with 50-year old hardwoods. Didn't want tile - - too hard. Lux vinyl, with it's wood-like looks wouldn't work - so I settled on cork. For some reason, I thought it would be a simple choice. Turns out, not everyone has the expertise to work with cork. The manufacturer, WeCork connected me with Mike and his team at Floor Covering International Mainline. He came personally to inspect the job and quote a price. Two weeks later, he and his expert installer, Junior, were on the job, and finished in a day, in spite of a few unforeseen snags. The worked neatly, move appliances gently, and I could not be happier with the result. This is exactly what I envision and I'm so thankful to them. Do not hesitate to choose them for your next project.
