Keystone Floor Works Introduce
For homeowners and businesses in Pennsylvania, particularly those in the Philadelphia metro area, choosing a reliable and experienced flooring specialist is essential for preserving the historic character and ensuring the long-term value of a property. Keystone Floor Works, an owner-operated family business based in Center City, stands out as a premier provider of comprehensive flooring services. While the provided classification included the term "furniture store," it is important for local Pennsylvania users to understand that Keystone Floor Works' core business is deeply rooted in flooring—specifically, hardwood floor installation, restoration, and refinishing—with an interesting sideline in curated antique and home decor items.
With decades of experience serving the Greater Philadelphia region, the company has built a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and personalized service, distinguishing them from larger, impersonal chain stores. Their expertise spans all facets of floor covering, making them a one-stop resource whether a historic row home needs a full hardwood restoration or a commercial space requires durable, modern flooring like luxury vinyl. The professional dedication of the team, led by owner Dan Liez, is frequently highlighted by customers who praise the firm’s clear communication, punctuality, and deep knowledge of wood floor restoration techniques. Their extensive experience even includes high-profile projects, such as refinishing floors on Boathouse Row, demonstrating a mastery of their craft that local Pennsylvanians can trust.
The firm's focus is on providing a full lifecycle of service for floors, encompassing everything from the initial design consultation and material selection to expert installation and long-term care and maintenance. Their commitment to using eco-friendly processes and providing free, no-obligation estimates reflects a customer-first approach that resonates well with the values of the local community.
Keystone Floor Works maintains a strategically located showroom in the heart of Philadelphia, making it highly convenient for residents of Center City, South Philly, and those commuting from the surrounding Pennsylvania counties.
The address for the main showroom and shop is: 1022 Pine St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Working with Dan and his team was everything my husband and I were looking for in a contractor. Dan is professional, has excellent communication (both via email and phone,) is clear and direct about expectations, and is always punctual. We had a vision for our previously-loved floors and Dan and his team brought them back to life. And what a nice guy! We absolutely recommend Keystone Floor Works and will reach out again if we have any flooring needs. Thanks, Dan! - Cris
June 23 · Cristina DHired Dan to refinish our poorly coated maple floors and to repair areas where we had demolished substructures of the house. Stopped by the shop to consult with him and he quickly recommended the cheaper option of refinishing rather than installing all new flooring. His team was quick and efficient, working around us as we remained living in the home. He does four coats of water-based polyurethane and the finish is excellent. I had a few questions after the work was done and he gladly stopped by the property to consult and even fix little areas that required attention. Dan has decades of experience with flooring in Philadelphia and has even refinished multiple floors on boathouse row. Would definitely recommend using Dan and Keystone Flooring. His shop on pine street is great to check out even if you have no flooring needs!
November 26 · Ted SnieckusI highly recommend coming here if you're looking for an affordable, high quality area rug. There are so many colors, sizes, and textures to choose from. The owner, Dan, was very informative and helpful. I plan to go back anytime I need a rug!I also enjoyed the antiques he had! There were many gems there.
April 21 · Josie McCluskeyHelped a family member choose a floor refinisher. He did not choose Keystone, though I voiced my opinion that I thought he'd be the best one. Alas, his estimate was the highest, so that was a factor. Not happy with the guy he chose, who turned out to be very difficult to work with. Thinking that it might have been worth the extra money to hire Keystone, but we'll never know.
November 06 · Cathy TaylorI contacted Keystone regarding some concerns I had about installation of new hardwood floors by a general contractor as part of a whole house renovation we'd recently done. Dan was extremely professional and responsive. He is very honest. He came to our home and said the installation by the GC looked proper and there wasn't much else to do without huge expense which was unnecessary. I will definitely turn to him with future flooring needs!
